Somewhere
Who I swear
Wrote about
Something meaningless
Once
He said
Something along
The lines of
“This is meaningless”
“That is meaningless”
Pointing revolting
over people trying
Somewhere he’s still
Shouting at someone
But I’m going
To keep trying.
The trick to being a good writer
is to never stop writing
keep writing until you need
it more than air and you
crave it more than sex.
You know you’re doing it right
when your lover is jealous
every time you bring out
your notebook late at night.
This is just something I wrote to memorialize the day
I love you
because I don’t
understand you.

care enough

to leave.
She pressed her lips to my chest
told me I was her best…
yet
Told me she wasn’t waiting around
For me to pretend
That I was what she needed…
Then
She left.
Everywhere we go
People do the same old,
Same old.
Every state is just
A different backdrop
For the same old
Same things.
People, places, things
Don’t change
Only the way we think
Can change the
Same old,
Same old
Things.
